what to write about

            this week i didn't know what to write about so i decided that i would write about my spring 

break! last week i went so the bay area to visit family.

   so that's my blog because i haven't seen any good movies lately and if you say i should write more you should live more

the Adventures of Tintin

    Tintin, a young journalist, and his dog Snowy are browsing in an outdoor market. Tintin buys a small model of a ship, the Unicorn, Barnaby and Ivan Ivanovitch Sakharine both unsuccessfully try to buy the model from Tintin. Tintin takes the ship home, but it is accidentally broken,a scroll slips out of the model and rolling under a cabinet. Meanwhile, detectives Thomson and Thompson are looking for a pickpocket, Aristides Silk. Tintin finds that the Unicorn has been stolen. He then visits Sakharine in Marlinspike Hall and accuses him of the stealing it when he sees a model of the Unicorn, but when he realizes that Sakharine's model is not broken, he understands that there are two models. Once Tintin returns home, Snowy shows him the scroll, Tintin puts the scroll in his wallet that is stolen by Silk.

Later, Tintin's kidnapped by Sakharine's goons and locked on the SS Karaboudjan. He discovers that Sakharine has a deal with the ship's crew and rebelled against the captain. On board, Tintin meets Captain Haddock, the ship's real captain. Haddock is always drunk and unaware of the happenings on his ship. Tintin, Haddock, and Snowy escape in a lifeboat. Sakharine sends a plane to find them, Tintin takes the plane to fly to Bagghar, but the seaplane crashes in the desert.

Haddock hallucinates and remembers an ancestor, Sir Francis Haddock, who was the captain of the Unicorn: Sir Francis's ship was attacked by the crew of a pirate ship, led by Red Rackham  and after his eventual surrender, Sir Francis sank the Unicorn, and most of the treasure, to prevent it from falling into Rackham's possession. It transpires that there were three Unicorn models, each containing a scroll; together, the scrolls can  locate of the sunken Unicorn and its treasure.

The third model is in Bagghar, owned by Omar Ben Salaad. Sakharine causes a distraction in a concert that results in him successfully stealing the third scroll. After a chase he gets all the scrolls. After the boat leaves, Tintin is ready to give up but is convinced by Haddock to continue. With help from officers Thompson and Thomson, Tintin and Haddock track Sakharine down, who turns out to be a descendant of Red Rackham. They head back to their starting point and set up a trap but Sakharine resists arrest. When his gang fails to save him Sakharine challenges Haddock to a final fight.  Sakharine is arrested by Thomson and Thompson. fallowing the three scrolls directions they find the treasure.

American hustle

     American hustle is based In 1978. It's about a FBI agent Richie Di Maso  and two con artists named Irving Rosenfeld and Sydney Prosser. They are posing as advisers to a fake Sheikh. They try to bribe Carmine Polito who is a mayor.

    When Irving meets Sydney he falls in love with her. Sydney helps improve Irving’s scams, posing as British aristocrat "Lady Edith Greensley". Irving is also reluctant to leave his adoptive son with wife Rosalyn, who will not divorce him. Richie catches Sydney and makes Irving help him catch 4 people.

    Irving has a friend pretend to be a wealthy Arab Sheikh looking for potential investments in America. An associate of Irving's suggests that the Sheikh do business with the mayor of Camden, Carmine Polito. Carmine's popular and charismatic, loved by his people;he is campaigning to revitalize gambling in Atlantic City.  Richie devises a plan that his boss Thorsen doesn't like. Sydney helps by making a lonely FBI secretary to make an unhallowed wire transfer of $2 million. When Thorsten's boss, Anthony Amado hears of the operation, he praises Richie's initiative, pressuring Thorsen to continue the operation.

    Richie messes up and blows every thing. Irving convinces Carmine that the Sheikh is legitimate, expresses his hatred for Richie, and the two begin a friendship. Irving and Rosalyn have dinner with Carmine and his wife.

   Sydney gets mad at Irving for taking his wife instead of her so she starts dating Richie.

This movie was all over the place, so I could not find a one scene that

represented it better than any other

Personally, I didn't dislike the film but I didn't really like it either. I felt like the movie was mostly just me sitting there. I went with my family, and I'm the youngest. I heard a lot of comments that they liked it because it was realistically violent and looked truly 1970s. However the movie took a long to get to the conclusion, which was pretty good. I would recommend the movie to someone who is really into the 70s, but no one else. There is a lot of boring grown up drama and long character development.

Lone survivor

    Lone survivor is about four navy seals that are on a mission when some random goat herders happen across them. Once the goat herders have been captured the navy seal team must make a decision, to let them go and fight their way, out or to kill them and be shamed by the news. they decide to let them go and try to radio in for backup, but they cant get any signal so they must fight for their lives. Immediately they begin to get shot at and a war breaks loose as they try to defeat the enemy's the get shot a lot of times. I will not ruin the ending incase you wanted to see this film but like the title says their is only one survivor.

     this movie was good but the book is way Superior 

the Hobbit 

Desolation of Smaug

   The Hobbit was okay. The plot was great but they ended in a bad spot that was super unsatisfying. The dialog between Smaug and Bilbo was great and so were the elves. However, I didn't like how Bilbo put on the ring then he could understand the spiders. The computer animation was great and so was the casting. But their were some holes in the plot so that was not great. I also thought that the eye of Sauron scene was cool and so were the spiders.

I liked this scene

    I would recommend that everybody sees this film. I even think that it can be understood without the first one.
