Is Nixon Unfairly Hated Because of his on Mistake?
Nixon had a surprisingly large amount of accomplishments, that are overshadowed by his bad handling of the Watergate scandal, but is that all his reputation should be? In this blog, we are going to talk about his many accomplishments. Full disclosure, i think Nixon is on of the best presidents, because I'm very contrary, but that's just part of what makes me, me. Now that we got that over, we can get back to Nixon and his many achievements.
Nixon naturalized ties with china, made the The Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty and Anti-Ballistic Missile Treaty with Russia which is basically just a treaty that says that both countries need to slow down the production of anti ballistic missiles, but they both continued making them. Nixon also ended the draft, and the Vietnam war, he also desegregated southern schools, and enacted the The Environmental Protection Agency and Clean Air Act, and to round it all out he did on of the best thing anyone could do, he was a liar and a crook.
here's Nixon bowling.
here he is in china.
here he is having a think.
here he is being celebrated for his many accomplishments.
To clarify I'm not defending what he did, I'm just pointing out that he did some great things, and suggesting that he shouldn't be so vilified for his mistake, but be remembered as a flawed human, but who isn't? in the end don't we all make mistakes that we regret?
p.s. I had to do independent research to find out his achievements, no one ever talks about the good things he did, but I've heard a lot about him and the Watergate scandal, I think that's ludicrous.
